Amy Odell is a journalist, author, and media consultant. She served formerly as editor of Cosmopolitan.com, the largest community of millennial women on the Internet, from 2013 to 2018. Odell was named to the post in September 2013 and oversaw all of Cosmopolitan’s digital presence, including editorial content, social media, and original video production. She expanded the site's content scope to include a wide range of feminist, political, and LGBTQ topics. Under Odell’s leadership, Cosmopolitan.com has more than tripled traffic to reach over 35 million monthly unique visitors, and in December 2014 the site was named Hottest Magazine in Digital for its annual Adweek Hot List. In January of 2015, Odell was named one of Forbes “30 Under 30” in Media, and in 2014 was named to Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40,” a prestigious list of New York City’s rising stars. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book of humorous essays about the high fashion world, Tales From the Back Row, published in 2015, which has been optioned by Sony.
